Team Quinta da Bica went to the CEARC Showjumping at 5 Horseshoes in Loule on Sunday 30th May. For Kay Taplin’s horse Island Breeze who lives in Tavira with Merryn, it was her first SJ competition. Breeze started spooky but grew in confidence winning a 2nd and a 3rd place. Merryn’s daughter – Aruba (Chloe Casey) was feeling rather stubborn and did not want to leave her friends. Surf (Jess Anderson) jumped well in both the 75cm and the 90cm with, unfortunately, the first fence down in each round! Merryn (Katharine Cook) was a star and won the 90cm with the only clear round.
